Hi to all the ocean family’s, my name is T-Heart. I have travelled all across the Pacific where I was told about these group of islands called the Torres Strait where I would be able to find my other family. So, I set out my adventure along the beautiful clear dark blue water which the islanders called Blue Highway, I journeyed along the blue highway until I reached this stoney like reef called I-Oi ATA and made it my home.

I was born in Thursday Island and grew up on Darnley Island. I have always been interested in making things. I have always crocheted and enjoyed sewing and handcrafts. Since joining the art centre I have gained confidence in myself as an artist and I want to do things that represent myself, my family and my surroundings from before time to these modern times that we live in. I am presently enjoying weaving and making bags and three-dimensional forms from ghost nets.
