Biography:
Shailyn Peris was born in Kununurra and currently lives in Warmun. Shailyn works at the Warmun office, likes playing football and painting. She remembers loving to help her late grandfather Jock Mosquito paint the dots around his paintings, and this memory is what has inspired her to start painting herself. She paints Gija country and Dreaming stories from her family's traditional lands and has recently begun painting about life in the Kimberley and her immediate surroundings.
