Biography:
Dougie grew up on Ngarrgooroon country, east of the Warrmarn community. He was born under a boab tree on Texas Downs Cattle Station. Here, he was raised and worked as stockman. Dougie is well travelled and has family all over the Kimberley. He still goes working out at cattle stations and joins in on the local rodeos. Dougie is an senior, important Gija ceremonial dancer who regularly partakes in corroborrees. He is well educated in Gija and English.
