Many Roads Home

“This story was mainly about my grandmother. She was taken from Jigalong at the age of 14 and forced into marriage with a 32 year old white man and taken to Queensland. She stayed in Queensalnd all her life but always wanted to find her way home and her family.

I journeyed back some years ago and was able to find her family in Martu country, and visited her birthplace in Jigalong. When I shared this with her she told me she was now reconnected through me and could rest easy in The Dreaming.”
