Mats can vary greatly. Artists commonly use a mix of naturally dyed and undyed fibre to create a striking variation of coloured bands. Each type of mat, fibre bag, basket and dilly bag has its own name in the various languages spoken in the Maningrida region.

Alison been doing photographing she's been learning a New databas which is Sam also taking photo and downloading into the Sam ye and she's looking forward to learn more things.in the Arts centre Alison starting to do weaving now and she's getting better at weaving trying to learn more but when she was 15 years old she was watching her Grandma weaving when she was in Yilan Outstation in remote Community and when her grandmother passed away. Alison started to do weaving in 2022 also for her future where she might be.
