Children of Ngaldjorlhboh

Ngaldjorlhboh, an Ancestral woman associated with the Wubarr ceremony and the creation of various landforms.

Ngaldjorlhboh is a very old woman, who has a digging stick and stays at the Wubarr sacred ceremony ground. Uninitiated men, women and children don’t go there where the Wubarr ceremony is.

When the old people used to set up a shade shelter for the Wubarr ceremony, so they could teach the young men, the spirit Ngaldjorlhboh would come out of the ground and look over the children, she treated them as if they were her own children.
