Name: Eliza Munroe
Biography:
Eliza was born and raised in Jameson where she also went to school. She moved to Blackstone with her husband to live on his country early in the marriage. Eliza grew up watching her grandmothers Stacia Lewis and Rene Nelson make wonderful tjanpi (grass) baskets. Other members of the family are painters. She paints family country around Jameson and Blackstone the way she see's it - lots of colours in the bush, the water and wildflowers. Eliza also enjoys tjanpi weaving, participating in workshops with Tjanpi Weavers.
