Gogo Station

This is about Gogo station on the old road. When I was young we were living there. We used to collect the coloured rocks from the hills, all different colours. Our mothers too and parents collected stones. We would gift it to our teachers and people as a gift from our country.

Nola Rogers is a Walmajarri woman. Her skin group is Nangala.

Her parents came from the desert.

She paints stories of growing up on Gogo Station. She was a mission girl.
Now Nola lives at Guwardi Ngardu Aged Care in Fitzroy Crossing where she came into contact with Mangkaja artists and began painting herself.
