Hunting Story

This painting depicts naku (canoes) that were made traditionally from the bark of a stringbark tree and used for hunting. In this painting, Andrew has depicted a Yolngu man hunting for gumang (magpie geese) eggs and also the geese.

The wife waits with her dilly bag to transport the food back to the campsite. This is an old way story about how Andrews ancestors lived.
