Biography:

Abel Pareroultja joined the Hermannsburg Potters end of February 2022. In March 2022, Abel participated in workshops held at JamFactory, Adelaide as part of Hermannsburg Potters' Men's Development Program. In July 2022, he attended the Australian Ceramics Triennale Conference, at Araluen Arts Centre in Mparntwe/Alice Springs. 

Abel took to the medium right away, bringing his existing landscape painting skills together to create beautiful pots depicting Country, quickly becoming an exciting emerging artist. 

In his first year of practice his work was collected by both National Gallery of Australia and Art Gallery of New South Wales.

In October 2022, Abel was one of ten applicants short-listed for the Macquarie Emerging Artist Prize for his work Mount Hermannsburg and That Little Tree There
