Biography:

Born in Alice Springs, Nathan Doolan is a Mpwetyerre (Abbott's Camp) Artist who has engaged with Tangentyere Artists from the Abbott's Camp community centre for many years. In 2023, Nathan and his wife Christine Wirri began painting at the Tangentyere Artists studio.

All of Nathan's family is from Finke. He paints his Country as he knows it, and as it is for many today. In June 2023, he painted a series of artworks depicting the Finke Desert Race from a number of dynamic perspectives. He has also painted other sporting stories, including a portrait of West Coast Eagles player Liam Ryan. 

During his time working with Tangentyere Artists, Nathan's innate talent has developed into a vibrant, recognisable figurative style. This skill has also translated across mediums, with Nathan working successfully in ceramics and drawing mediums, and at a large-scale painting murals.
