Biography:
Treinaya is granddaughter of recognised Yinjaa-Barni artists Allery & Aileen Sandy. She is the eldest child of Brian Phillips and artist Sheryl Hicks. Her mother is Ngarluma and her dad is Yindjibarndi. Treinaya has spent most of her life travelling and moving back and forth between Roebourne and Perth before settling in Newman. After five years when she was in Year 12 Treinaya and her family moved to Karratha to be closer to family and Country. She started painting in 2011 in her Year 9 art class.
