Name: Sheila Major Nampintjinpa
Biography: Sheila was born in Alice Springs hospital and grew up in Papunya where she has lived ever since. She went to primary school at Papunya and then Yirara College in Alice Springs for high school. Sheila's mother is Punata Stockman and her father is Peter Major. Punata's dreaming relates to the country and ancestors associated with Ilpitirri (Mt Dennison). Her father's dreaming refer to the Possum Ancestors. Sheila's dreaming is connected with the Honey Ant Ancestors. Sheila had never painted before joining Papunya Tjupi Arts.
