Turtle & Dilly Bag by Revonna Lane

“My sarong design shows water lily fruits and stems, the long and short pods which we eat, you can make damper by grinding the fruit cook it or eat it raw.  With the stems, peel off the skin and eat like celery or use it like straw. There are three types of bags shown here which the women make, a string bag to carry tools, dilly bag they carry around their head to collect bush food with and baskets to carry water. You can see the long and short neck turtle, we find them in the rivers and billabongs. Just back from the billabong, is wear we collect the eggs to eat”

Crafted with a blend of shimmery silk and soft cotton, this sarong seamlessly combines elegance with comfort.  A versatile and luxurious accessory designed for all occasions and evoking the spirit of Arnhem Land.
