Bigauga, Imilang, Batparrik (Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: Past, Present, Future)
My biyins (hands) representing how close I hold my land and culture, my connection to land, and is a way of leaving my mark. The scar trees in the biyins for me representing the past while also being a very significant part of my culture in many ways. The first manu (camp) is surrounded with many family and we sit around a big bitja (fire). The second only has a few and third is in the batparrik (future), tomorrow is unknown. Presently I’m living away from country and now only see a few and for the future, who knows? The lines representing my life’s journey.
