Deon was born Kalgoorlie, but was raised in Wiluna. He attended Primary school in Wiluna and then went away for his High school year. After High school Deon returned to Wiluna and worked in Primary health at the AMS for over 5 years. After he completed his stint with the AMS, Deon went to Well 33 and worked with the community. Deon is passionate about painting his Grandfathers land and bush tucker.
