Gulawala is the Pearlshell Wandjina. He came from the sweet water country and travelled to the coast. On the seaside in the saltwater he collected pearl shells and made a necklace out of it. When he travelled back to the sweet water country she showed off his beautiful pearl shell necklace.

Biography:
Elkyn Umbagai was born in Geraldton 20 March 2011, and now lives with her Aunty Leah in the Mowanjum Community 10 kms outside Derby in the West Kimberley of Western Australia.
Elkyn enjoys fishing, camping and swimming and likes going on trips out bush. She likes to do traditional dancing and learning traditional songs and the stories that come with it. She also enjoys learning her language and listening to language being spoken from other cultures.
Elkyn has her own style of painting and is full of ideas. She uses a lot of different mediums and likes to experiment. She believes her art is what makes her and it makes her strong at heart.
