Kukiau Kuyup 2 OF 3
Kukiau urui is a bug that only comes out during wet season (after the storms). Kuyup means dragonfly: this is KLY dialect in the Torres Straits. They are known for seasonal changes, after kukiau thonar (time of storms) they appear. This than indicates that there will be a change of wind which will smoother the waters and make it easier for people to fish off the rocks.
