Rocky Pools Cap – Aneisha Larry

Based on an original artwork by Aneisha Larry and her grandmother, Judith Coppin titled Rocky Pools.

Judith paints with her grandchildren as a way of teaching them about their country and important cultural information she needs to pass down. It gives the younger people an opportunity to learn about their culture while giving them the confidence to explore painting.

“This painting reminds me of going out on Ngurra with family looking at all the beautiful landscape and how the pure spring water runs through the land” – Aneisha Larry

Details and care instructions: One size fits most, adjustable with slide strap (once fit is right, slip the strap back through the clip to secure it). 100% polyester, quick dry, shower proof. Cold hand wash only.

Due to the nature of the manufacturing and placement of the artwork on the fabric, each hat is individual and different from the next.

Name: Aneisha Larry

Language: Yindjibarndi

Biography:

Aneisha Larry- I am a young Yindjibarndi woman, who grew up in Roebourne. I love going out on country, listening to my elders, and looking at my country. Law time is the best time where we go out on country to enjoy it. I recently started painting with the Juluwarlu Art Group and I enjoy it helps me connect more with my elders and learn more. I paint about the creation spirits and the elders long ago.
