Biography:
Jessie Rostron is one of several master weavers from the Korlobidahdah homelands. Jessie's technique is highly regarded for its exquisite consistency and fineness. Her work is also renowned for its diverse use of bold colours which are all sourced from natural plant materials, such as leaves, roots and berries. Jessie is from the Western Arnhem language groups who specialise in the pandanus coil-bundle baskets, having originally leant the technique via the Maung or at the Missions on Goulburn and Crocker Islands.
