Kunawarritji (canning Stock Route Well 33)

This is the artists Grandmothers country around the Community of Kunawarritji also known as Well 33 on the Canning Stock Route. The circular section with the U shapes represent the women gathering the bush nuts with the digging sticks. Through the centre of the canvas are the Tuwa (sand dunes) in the top corner is a coolamon that the women would put the bush tucker into. Around the painting you can see bush leaves that are used as bush medicine, Lungki (Witchitty Grubs) Bush Honey, Green bush beans, womala (bush tomatoes) and white bush (Sugar)
