Biography:
Eric Brown is a Goomeroi man living in Shepparton. He works in a range of media, including water colors, acrylics, oils, wood, emu egg and kangaroo skin. From 2008 to 2018 Eric has exhibited in group exhibitions in the region, Melbourne and Sydney. In 2015, he was a participating artist in Collisions: Cross Cultural Collaborations exhibition, Shepparton Art Museum. His work ‘Our Mob’, 2015 with ceramic artist Vipoo Srivilasa was acquired for the University of Melbourne Collection and is represented in Shepparton Art Museum Collection and in numerous private collections in Australia and internationally.
Ocean Waves The artwork represents my family sitting and camping on the beach watching the waves rolling into shore.
Gum Leaf The artwork depicts collecting gum leaves on Yorta Yorta country to be used in my creative artworks. Australian gum leaves can be found in numerous sizes and colours across the four seasons
