ARTWORK STORY

Lorrpu (Sulphur-crested Cockatoo) are a totemic species significant to the Gupapuyngu clan of the Yirritja moiety. They are represented through storylines and songlines during ceremonial practises. Lorrpu can be found in large flocks across the Arafura Swamp.

Biography:

Born in Ramingining, Angela is the daughter of acclaimed artist Bobby Bununggurr. Her father spent time with her teaching her how to paint and teaching her significant storylines and songlines connected to their Ganalbingu clan.
