Helicopter Seed Pod – Mrs C Djiagween

These earrings were designed by the late Mrs. C. Djiagween.
Mrs. D was an esteemed Yawruru and Jabirr Jabirr Elder who was one of the founding members of Nagula Jarndu.
With her family’s permission we continue to celebrate her life through the legacy of her art.
Helicopter seeds are a common sight here in The Kimberley, they are great fun for children to throw up into the air and watch them spin and spin to the ground.
They measure approx. 7cm in length and have a bamboo wood top with a gold mirror main design.
All our earrings use stainless steel, nickel free findings.
