About the Pottery Ladies

This is the old potters sitting at the creek in Palm Valley near Jesus Footprint. I was inspired by an old photo of them and I told my mum “I been made a pot so people can remember how much them old potters done”. I always think to put old photos on pot, and now I done it.

Biography:

Regina Lankin spent her early childhood in Papunya. When Regina was 10 years old she started boarding school at Worawa Aboriginal College in Melbourne where she graduated with her High School Certificate in 2015. Regina has always enjoyed painting throughout her childhood and is now excited to be working with her new medium Clay. Regina has joined the Pottery in the beginning of 2017 under the mentorship of her mother Beth Inkamala. She exhibits natural talent in building with clay and has fine painting skills. Regina brings great new energy into the Pottery and is a rising star of Hermannsburg Potters.

 

The Board of Hermannsburg Potters recognises that Regina has great potential for an Arts Worker position with her work ethic, enthusiasm, computer skills and written skills in english and Western Aranda.
