Biography:
Sidney Moody is a Kukutja artist who was previously based at Wirrimanu (Balgo) in the Western Desert region, prior to relocating to the pilbara. He is a well-respected community member along with his wife, renowned artist Madeleine Nowee. Moody began exhibiting in 2013 and his practice is inspired by both his country, Nyila and that of his wife's father, Truriljarra in the Gibson Desert. His artworks speak to Country, heritage and history but also he has permission to paint some of his wife’s country and dreamings. These beautifully bright artworks continue to expand in design and talent, and artistic imagination.
