The children (ilaa) in Mowanjum Community love to paint and come to the art centre every day after school to sit with the established artists, their families to learn their stories and culture and how to translate these into beautiful artworks.

Aliahna is a young Ngarinyn and bardi girl she was born at Broome and grew up at mowanjum and derby she started painting when she was four years old and she also danced at mowanjum festivals she really enjoys learning about her culyure and teaching her younger sister what she has learnt
