Waa

In Wotjobaluk Dreamtime stories, Waa, the Crow, plays a significant role, often depicted as a trickster figure associated with fire and the creation of the landscape. One popular story involves Waa stealing fire from the women who guarded ii, ultimately leading to its spread and the coloration of birds. Another story tells of Waa’s escape from Ngindyal, the giant Emu, through the mountains.
