“This design that I’ve done is about the country that we live in, that is in the North west, of the Kimberley region. The Boab Nut is the nut of a Boab tree, which also has a white flesh inside that you can eat. The Boab Trees are only found in the Kimberleys region.
Our people use the boat nuts for carving the country of our people and animals that we have. Sharing our stories through the Boab nut carving.” – Sherika
