Jarburrungu Wings (Wedge – Tail Eagle)

Perfect as a standalone accessory or paired with our captivating graphic novel, “When the World Was Soft,” these wings invite children to immerse themselves in Yindjibarndi Creation Stories where the birds play a vital role. As Yindjibarndi people there are laws and lessons we learn from the animals on our country and from the creation times.

As Yindjibarndi people, it is our belief that each and every being acts as one entity. We were created with the environment and have always had strong knowledge of the local fauna, as all plants and animals are brothers, sisters and close relatives. Each animal has a place in our kinship system, belonging to one of the four Galharra or skin groups (Garimarra, Burungu, Balyirri and Banaga), to which every person belongs.

Made using recycled plastic, with elastic straps on the shoulders and for the fingers or wrists (TIP: for older kids to hold them along their forearms or to make the wrist/finger straps looser, loop in a bigger elastic band). 120×49cm, fits most kids.

WARNING : FABRIC IS FLAMMABLE DO NOT PLAY NEAR FIR
