Wanarn Jarra This work depicts Lily’s grandmother’s country, Wanarn Jarra. Wanarn Jarra is where Karlamilyi, or Rudall River, runs underground. Large tuwa (sand hills) are also found in this area.
Yindjibarndi Country This is an aerial painting of the country I grew up on. I like to map out my country and record how I remember it. It is a document of how things were.
Summer skies, Cockatoo song This piece reminds me of the soft glow of summer evenings. The cockatoo feathers are a reminder of the guardians of the garden, with their calls filling the air, their presence grounding us to country.
