Burndud Ground The Burndud is the sacred Marrga creation spirits dance ground at Birlinbirlin on the Fortescue River. It is an important story in Yindjibarndi culture which relates to Birdarra Law. Its a dance in our traditions, It’s a unique law and it belongs to the Yindjibarndi people.

Bent Trees From floods Flood water comes fast and vurious, filling up dry water beds. It’s so strong it bends the trees.

Wuyumarri – Yandi-uuru Beautiful morning colours we wake up to when out at ngurra. I focused on the carved feature named Yandi-urru. Yandi means north and urru means river, in Yindjibarndi.  My father taught me the songs of this place, that’s why I know its proper name.        Read more…
