JILA LIVING WATERHOLE This is a big waterhole. Rain runs into the waterhole. This is good water. My people and my family lives in the desert for many years when rain season comes the waterholes use to be full by rain.

DRY LAND This is the dry season.   When it gets dry every goes brown, even the grass and leaves in the trees.  And also the billabong gets dry with only a little bit of water for the animals to drink.

Ripples This is about the Fitzroy River and how it changes colour with the different seasons. It becomes a golden muddy colour as the river rises during the wet.

Barramundi “Martuwarra is my river country; this painting is all about the Fitzroy River which flows down through Noonkanbah. l grew up along the Fitzroy Riverside and we used to catch all kinds of fish for lunch and dinner. This river Barramundi is good to eat.

Nyilnigil “This one Paynjarra jumu (soakwater) good country this one, desert country, long way out. Yarun (bloodwood) them trees, This is desert country. We get bush tucker in this country.
