Piyalpiyal This fish is called Piyalpiyal (swordfish), we catch them along the Fitzroy River its also my father’s totem 

Dugongs Feeding Some of us saltwater people hunt dugong during full moon time. It’s a favourite tucker to eat. Dugongs eat seaweed and sea grasses off the sea bed.

SPANISH FLAG This painting is about the spanish flag fish its a reef fish and is really good eating its a beautiful fish with stripes colours of silver, yellow and black also jellyfish is in paintings i come from saltwater country so i like to paint saltwater animals.

All the Waterholes People have been walking between these waterholes visiting the places.In the middle is living water.

Kurra Kurra This is a spring in my country, the Great Sandy Desert.

Pinti Pinti is a jila (living waterhole).There are white flowers that grow all around this waterhole after the fire comes through.We collect Karlaka (wild honey) from the Kuparnu (grevillea) tree.There is a big jilji (sandhill) here too.

Grass This is grass country. There is a pirnti (claypan) here, it is the wet time and it is full of milky white water. There are all grasses growing around the pirnti.

Wayampajarti Jila (waterhole) “Long way out this one in my country, the Great Sandy Desert. This is an important place for my people, there is Kalpurtu (acestral spirit snake) here”.
