Family Tree

Andrew tells the story;

‘The tree is the life of a person. Their kids have grown up eating the fruit from the tree and honey from the bottom of the tree. The tree is giving something back to the future. The young people protect the tree, it’s what the old people used to do. It’s the history, looking out for the future.’

After the tree dies, new trees start growing after the rain starts, like the next generation of young people grow.

Bloodwood Tree

That Bloodwood. When it stops quiet, I always tell the kids not to move, “Something might happen to you mob.” That tree, message for old people, when we got to tell young people not to walking around, they got to listen to us. Not to walk away, not to walk themselves…When we get the message from the tree, well we tell them young people not to go out by yourself. Stay home.
