‘This is my family place. Hot water spring and cold water spring. That big hill on the background is my family place. That water live all year ’round. That little sand frog, it live for a long time.’ This place is the Ngarrangkarni (Dreaming) site for the sand frog. The waterhole at Winuba holds water all through the Dry season.
Bow River Bridge is a popular fishing spot east of Warmun. Kathy says ‘this spot is up stream, where two rivers meet going down to the bridge’.
Kathy remembers traveling to Bow River Bridge with her family when they had holiday’s from the station, ‘go down there for camping out’.
Spending time there fishing, camping out, and where all my old people meet to spend time corroboree singing.

Weekend at Bulgundi. Me, Marika and our five children. I shot 2 kangaroo that evening. The sun went down using the headlight of my car when it wasn’t running cousing the battrey to get flat. It was late in October me and my family had no chosew but to walk from Bulgundi to Yulumbo, the red line represent the little Fitzroy River. The spring as seen on the redline represent the only place i could get water, i would carry my to boys every hundred metres from tree to tree and mum to catch up with baby Nicole, my our daughter. I had to walk back to the spring to get water when we ran out of water, this almost kill me.
