I like painting, playing the drums and acoustic guitar."
- Ignatius Paul Taylor (Hamzah)
Ignatius Paul Taylor, also known as Hamzah, is part of a strong Martu cultural and artistic lineage. He is the son of Desmond Taylor and Colleen Jadai (dec.), and the grandson of foundational Martumili artists Wokka Taylor (dec.) and Kanu (Karnu) Nancy Taylor (dec.). His siblings Curtis and Alisha Taylor are also established artists.
Hamzah’s creative practice- including painting, photography, and music- reflects his deep ties to Country, family, and tradition.
